Why Your Gift Matters
At Girls Code the World, we believe every girl deserves access to meaningful STEM learning—no matter where she lives, how busy her family is, or what resources her school provides.
Too often, hands-on science and technology experiences are limited to classrooms or costly camps. We’re changing that.
Bringing STEM home
Our upcoming subscription-based STEM program delivers carefully designed, hands-on science and coding activities straight to students’ homes. Each box includes materials, guided lessons, and real-world applications created by women in STEM.
Whether a student lives in a rural town or a bustling city, they’ll have the chance to explore, experiment, and create from their own kitchen table.
Reaching busy families
We know parents and guardians want to support their children’s curiosity—but time, access, and cost can get in the way. Our program is designed to meet families where they are, with flexible, at-home learning that sparks excitement and confidence in STEM—on their schedule.
Research-backed learning
In 2025, Girls Code the World partnered with Penn State University’s Department of Engineering to ensure our curriculum isn’t just inspiring—it’s proven effective.
Through an IRB-approved pilot study, we will be testing our model to measure engagement, learning outcomes, and impact on confidence in STEM. Your support helps us take that data and scale what works.
Your Donation Powers Innovation
Every dollar brings us closer to launching this new model of education for girls everywhere.
Your gift helps us:
Fund research-backed curriculum development
Distribute STEM learning kits to students nationwide
Support our high school and college interns who help design and deliver our programs
Build the foundation for a scalable, equitable STEM education platform
Together, we’re building a future where every girl has the tools, confidence, and community to thrive in STEM—right from home.
“Throughout my time with GCTW, I have seen myself improve qualities from time management to communication. GCTW allows interns to experience a semi-formal work environment that is welcoming and encouraging. With many different positions available, you can find the job that is right for you! Sydney and Mina have been encouraging mentors who have taught me what a leader can be.”
Victoria Dao
Temple University
“As a GCTW intern, I was surprised by how girls only in elementary and middle school were familiar with many STEM topics. They knew much more than I did at a similar age, proving that Girls Code the World has a powerful mission: empowering young girls. My favorite part about Girls Code the World was getting to show girls that STEM can come in many forms, whether it be making animations or growing plants.”
Shinyi Li
University of Chicago
“Girls Code the World provided me the opportunity to branch out and learn about the art of empowerment and creativity. The experience strengthened my ability to collaborate with others as a team. I generally felt welcomed to express my ideas and opinions, along with any concerns I might have had. I have also formed many connections with people who share a passion for the STEM field as much as I do. All things considered, learning about the journey of Girls Code the World and how it built up to where it stands now today gave me the confidence to share my passion with others as well.”
